Just announced...'Integration and the Use of the Self' - A One Day Relational Psychotherapy Conference

IARTA are pleased to announce a one-day conference in Edinburgh on Saturday 11th June 2016 (9.30am – 5.00pm), which is to be held at the Edinburgh Conference and Training Venue, 16 St Mary’s Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SU

Helena Hargaden, MSc, D.Psych, TSTA (P) will present a paper entitled:

How Can We Know The Dancer from the Dance (after W.B.Yeats)

Helena works in private practice in Sussex. Drawing on her experience in Jungian analysis and psychoanalytic supervision she has developed in collaboration with others, a relational perspectives on Transactional Analysis. She has co-edited and authored a variety of papers and was awarded, with Charlotte Sills the Eric Berne Memorial Award in 2007 for her work on the ‘domains of transference’. She is one of the founding members of the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA).

Aaron Balick, PhD will present a paper entitled:

Using the Relationship in Therapy: What makes a relationship with “me” so special?

Aaron is a psychotherapist, supervisor, and cultural theorist specialising in the understanding of modernity through depth psychology. Aaron is an honorary senior lecturer at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex and is a founding member and chair of The Relational School, UK (TRS). In addition Aaron is a media spokesperson for the UKCP, a contributor and consultant to the media, a blogger, a mental health writer, and a regular voice on BBC Radio1. 

Conference participants will have the opportunity to discuss with their colleagues issues raised by the papers.

Cost: £120 incl. refreshments and a light lunch.
