Second Summer Event for STAA Members

Posted on July 22, 2013 at 8:55 AM Comments comments (0)

We didn't want the summer to go by without contact and conversation with the TA community, so we've booked a space from 5-8pm at The Theosophical Society ( 28 Great King Street, EH3 6QH ) in a beautiful room and central location so that we can meet, drink and nibble, while we blether. Hopefully we can all sandwich this 'twixt Festival excitements and entertainments.

There are topics we'd like to discuss yet more important is creating a social space, so we'll do a bit of both. We are interested in what you are up to and where your TA is taking you, and, we'll update you on what we're doing. Our community is growing, so a little time from each of us will give it nurture. Hope you can make it.

Martin Wells: 'We Only Have Now' - 16th and 17th March 2013

Posted on February 17, 2013 at 4:10 PM Comments comments (0)

Being in the present moment is profoundly simple and a great challenge. Of course, we only have the present moment, yet we spend much of our time planning the future, or thinking about the past.

Over this weekend we will explore these mind made challenges and open to a deeper presence. In the present moment, the grace of not knowing is revealed and a spacious freedom discovered. The retreat will be a blend of understanding and practice, of clarification and meditation.

Martin Wells is a teaching and supervising transactional analyst who has being studying meditation for over 30 years. He works mostly in the NHS in the UK, as a consultant psychotherapist, where he integrates non-dual teachings with psychotherapy. He is the founder of TA~Spiritual and has run retreats in Scotland, India and Spain.

Dates and times: 16th and 17th March 2013, 9.30 - 4.30pm

Venue : the Salisbury centre, Edinburgh.

Cost: £100
